Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween. It is rainy here in metro-Atlanta. Hopefully, this won't discourage trick-or-treating. Today, I will be holding the second book signing for In Atlanta or In Hell: The Camp Creek Train Crash of 1900. It will be held at Bell, Book and Candle from 11:00-3:00 p.m. Come join us if you are in the area.

Hello my friend. I am sorry that I could not make the book signing today. I am not physically able as of yet to get out much. But I hope everything goes well. This is All Hallows Eve and things are different today. Be careful out and about in the weather tonight because it is always much darker then than when the day shines. Listen for that breeze in the air.

Here is just something interesting from the past that I thought you all might like to read. My mother had a good friend as a child and teenager named Elizabeth who was very sickly and not able to go out into the sun. She had a tendency to eat raw meat. The doctors of the time said she had porphyria which had taken the life of her mother. The girl lived until she was eighteen and she passed away. Many of the other teens in the area were afraid of Elizabeth but they had nothing to fear. She was pale and had circles around the eyes which made them afraid. Some even called her a vampire but they just did not understand her condition.
